Well my science experiment did not perform as well as hoped! I have done this once before and when the shell was dissolved in white vinegar the membrane was left thin and transparent. My egg seems to have a much thicker membrane, perhaps it was too fresh, my chickens had only just laid that batch so it is not very transparent. Even the added lighting doesn’t help to see through it.
It still looked interesting and it really was fantastic when I scanned it, It looks like a pearl rather than egg! or maybe I should have just fried it?
